Window Installation in Phoenix, AZ
Noble Windows & Doors measures, supplies and installs windows across the Phoenix Valley under AZ ROC #364772, from a single new opening to every window in the house, with the installation method for each opening written into your quote.

What Window Installation Covers
The window is half the job. The other half is how it goes into the wall, and that part decides whether it seals, operates and lasts.

Window installation is everything between the measure and the final walkthrough: getting the old unit or the rough opening ready, setting the new window plumb, level and square, sealing it against air and water, and finishing the stucco and interior around it.
A Phoenix wall puts that work under real stress. Stucco moves with the heat, the west wall bakes all afternoon, and monsoon storms drive rain sideways at the openings. A window that is installed to the manufacturer’s published instructions handles all three, and it is also what keeps the product warranty intact.
The Four Types of Window Installation
Here are the four types of installs. Which one an opening needs depends on the frame that is there now and whether the opening stays the same size, and we check that at the free measure.
01Insert Installation
The new window goes inside the existing frame, which stays in the wall. Less disruption to stucco and drywall, as long as the old frame is sound and square.
- The existing frame stays in the wall
- Stucco and drywall left largely alone
- Needs an old frame that is sound and square
Best for: Sound frames and a straight window swap
02Full-Frame Installation
The old window comes out down to the framing, so the opening can be checked, flashed and sealed from scratch. Stucco and interior finish repair are part of the job.
- Removed down to the framing
- Opening checked, flashed and sealed from scratch
- Stucco and interior finish repair included
Best for: Rotted, damaged or out-of-square frames, or flashing that needs redoing
03New or Enlarged Openings
Cutting a new opening or widening one changes the wall itself, so it needs a header sized for the span and, usually, a permit. We handle the permitting the job needs.
- A header sized for the new span
- Permit and inspection where the city requires one
- Done under our KB-1 license, AZ ROC #364772
Best for: More light, a better view, or a window where there is none today
04Additions, Remodels and New Builds
Windows with a nailing fin, set into framed openings and taped into the weather barrier before stucco, on a schedule that fits the rest of the build.
- Nailing-fin windows set into framed openings
- Taped into the weather barrier before stucco
- Scheduled around the rest of the build
Best for: Room additions, major remodels and new construction

How We Install a Window in a Phoenix Home
The same six steps on every opening, whether it is one bathroom window or a whole house. This is the part of the job that decides whether the window seals, operates and lasts.

- Step 01
Protect and Prepare
Floors and furniture near the opening are covered, and the old window or the rough opening is cleared and checked.
- Step 02
Check the Opening
We confirm the opening is square and the sill is sound. Any rot, damage or out-of-square framing is raised with you before the new unit goes in.
- Step 03
Set, Shim and Fasten
The window is set plumb, level and square, shimmed where the manufacturer calls for it, and fastened so the sash operates and locks cleanly.
- Step 04
Flash and Seal
Flashing, sealant and insulation close the gap around the frame against air and water, following the manufacturer’s published instructions.
- Step 05
Finish the Wall
Stucco patched and textured on full-frame work, interior trim and drywall finished, and the debris and old windows hauled away.
- Step 06
Test and Walk Through
Every sash opened, closed and locked with you, and the product details for each window handed over.
What changes on the day
- The existing frame stays in the wall
- The new window is set inside it, then sealed to it
- Stucco and drywall are left largely alone
What changes on the day
- The old window comes out down to the framing
- The opening is checked, flashed and sealed from scratch
- Stucco and interior finish are repaired around it
We check every frame first, then recommend insert or full-frame for each opening.
Styles, materials and glass
Window Options We Install in Phoenix
Once the installation type is settled, three choices shape the window itself: how it opens, what the frame is made of and the glass inside it. Every one is built to the opening we measure, and all three are written into your quote.
How it opens
Window Styles We Install in Phoenix
Keep the style you have or change how a room opens and vents. Either way, each window is made to the size we measure, not a stock size.

Horizontal Sliding Windows
Sliders move side to side and are very common in Phoenix ranch and tract homes. Most of the time they go back in as a like-for-like insert installation.
- Easy to open, no crank to wear out
- Works over a sink, a bed or a sofa
- Often the simplest installation

Picture Windows
A picture window does not open, which buys you the most glass and the least frame. You give up the airflow.
Flank it with sliders or casements if the room needs air.

Casement Windows
A casement cranks open like a door and presses against its frame when shut, so it keeps out more of the dust a monsoon wind pushes into a house.
It also helps with bedroom egress, since a casement opens wider than a slider in the same frame.

Awning Windows
Hinged at the top, an awning tilts out from the bottom and keeps a summer storm on the outside.
Good for bathrooms, kitchens and windows set high on a wall.

Single- and Double-Hung Windows
A single-hung has a fixed upper sash and a lower sash that lifts, the Southwest standard.
With a double-hung both sashes move, so an upstairs window can be cleaned from inside.

Arched, Bay, and Custom Shapes
Plenty of Phoenix openings are not rectangles, especially the arched tops on stucco homes from the 1980s and 1990s. Arches, half-rounds, bays, bows and one-off shapes are all built to the opening we measure.

Compare the frame
Which Window Material Is Right for Your Home?
The frame decides the look, the color options, the price and how the window ages through Phoenix summers. Each one installs a little differently, so the material and the installation type are chosen together.

Vinyl
Good insulation for the money and no painting. It fits almost any opening and is the usual choice for a whole-home project, which leaves room in the budget for better glass.
Best fit: Whole-home projects and budget-led jobs
See vinyl window options
Fiberglass
Stiff and stable in the heat. Fiberglass moves less than vinyl as the wall heats and cools, which allows slimmer frames and darker colors on the hottest walls.
Best fit: West and south elevations, and darker frame colors

Thermally Broken Aluminum
The narrowest frame for big glass, with a break in the metal so heat cannot run straight through. We install IWC aluminum windows, primarily the 8800 Series Ambassador, as well as PRL aluminum windows.
Best fit: Wide openings, big glass, and modern elevations
See aluminum window options
Composite
Andersen’s Fibrex blends wood fiber and polymer, and Andersen rates it to 150°F even in dark colors. It suits a project where the frame color is part of the look.
Best fit: Dark frames on sunny walls, and projects where the frame is part of the look
Plenty of owners mix: vinyl at the back of the house, fiberglass or aluminum on the street side.

Glass for Phoenix sun
Which Glass Is Best for Phoenix Heat, Noise, and Privacy?
Heat, glare, noise and privacy all come down to the glass. We choose it per wall, not one package for every window.
Low-E Dual-Pane Glass
The baseline on a Phoenix installation: two panes with a low-E coat and a sealed, insulating gap between them.
The coat reflects much of the sun’s heat without darkening the room.
Safety and Laminated Glass
Code calls for tempered glass in some spots, usually next to doors, by tubs and showers, and along stairs. We mark each of those at the measure so the order is right the first time.
Laminated glass is the other safety option, and it also cuts sound from a busy street.

Privacy Glass
Obscure glass keeps the light and loses the view. It earns its place in bathrooms and on tight lots where a neighbor’s window faces yours.

Decorative Glass
Patterned glass is about looks, not performance. Rain, reed, frosted and satin etch are a few of the options.
Think a powder room, a stair landing or a feature window.
Your quote spells out the glass for every opening.

Why Choose Noble for Window Installation?
Two companies can sell you the same window. What you are really choosing is who puts it into the wall, under which license, and who answers for it afterwards.
Licensed for the Opening, Not Just the Window
Noble Windows & Doors LLC holds AZ ROC #364772, a KB-1 Dual Building Contractor license, plus AZ ROC #364771 for electrical. KB-1 covers the structural side of a new or widened opening under the same license as the window.
Several Manufacturers, One Quote
We install Andersen, Milgard, IWC, PRL and other established makers, so the installation method is chosen for the opening rather than for one product line.
Our Own Workmanship Guarantee
Every window is installed to the manufacturer’s published instructions, and Noble backs the installation with its own 3-year workmanship guarantee.

What Affects the Cost of Window Installation?
Every window is built to its opening and every wall is different, so there is no list price and we will not invent one. Here is what moves the number.

How Many Windows, and How Big
Glass area drives most of the cost. A whole-home project usually costs less per opening than a few windows done one at a time, because the setup is shared.
What Affects Your Price

The Installation Method
An insert installation keeps the existing frame. A full-frame installation takes it out to the framing, which adds flashing, stucco and interior finish work.
What Affects Your Price

New or Changed Openings
A new opening, or one made wider, means cutting the wall, adding a header for the span and usually a permit, so it is priced separately from a straight swap.
What Affects Your Price
For typical Phoenix price ranges, see our window replacement cost guide. A quote far below the others usually leaves something out, often the flashing or the finish repair, which comes back later. Ask about current promotions and financing when you book. Whatever applies to your project is written into your quote, in full, before anything is signed.

“My windows look great and work smoothly. They provide as much UV/heat reduction as the heavy duty sunscreens I’ve removed, possibly more. Most important for my use case, they reduce outside noise by 30 decibels as measured on my phone.”
“They installed three extra large sliders and replaced several windows that also required stucco repair. All the work was well done, the stucco matched, and they kept us informed along the way.”
“Dan and Islam did a great job installing our windows! The job was done beautifully and we are already enjoying our view, thanks to Noble’s high-quality workmanship.”
